Service Priorities

Priorities for services that we provide or coordinate include:

  • Providing access to services in local communities such as information and referral, assessment, case management, options counseling, and transportation.

  • Supporting independent living through home and community-based care services such as home health, personal care services, homemaker, adult day care, respite care and senior centers.

  • Addressing caregiver needs by providing services that assist family members who are dealing with the day-to-day challenges of providing care to an older individual.

  • Meeting the nutritional needs of older adults by providing home-delivered meals to the frail, homebound elderly and congregate meals served in senior centers, and by providing nutrition education.

  • Protecting the basic rights of the most vulnerable elderly with services such as the Ombudsman Program in nursing homes and providing elder abuse prevention education and assistance.
