The four-hour course provides caregivers with effective strategies for dealing with dementia behaviors. Using Dealing with Dementia: A Caregiver’s Guide, the training teaches caregivers how to find answers and resources. This resource helps caregivers with new skills and tools, as well as introduces them to a caregiver group. A few of the skills that Dealing with Dementia can provide are problemsolving, as well as self-care for the caregivers.
This workshop is designed for family caregivers.

Learn to take better care of yourself while providing care for someone else. This course teaches proven stress-reducing techniques for those caring for someone with a chronic illness or dementia. This free workshop consists of 90-minute sessions that are held once per week for nine weeks.
Caregivers who have completed the program feel significantly lower stress, depression, and anxiety, and are able to enjoy a better quality of life. They have also experienced improvement in their ability to relax, manage stress, and feel better about themselves.
